When our fraternity was founded Carter Ashton Jenkens declared "This fraternity will be different." We honor this mission by being the only Greek organization at Western Kentucky University to offer a scholarship to incoming freshmen. The Balanced Man Scholarship is something we take great pride in at KY Delta, and this past year we awarded over $5,000 to 13 exemplary young men.

We offer The Balanced Man Scholarship to any incoming freshman males, or first-semester transfer students to Western Kentucky University. The Balanced Man Scholarship rewards students who have shown academic excellence, leadership skills, and a commitment to their health and well-being. At the Kentucky Delta Chapter at Western Kentucky University, SigEp believes that recognizing students who demonstrate balance and all-around excellence is one way to promote this important idea. We are committed to helping our members develop the skills they need to succeed in the classroom, future careers, and everyday life. 

There is no requirement of joining the fraternity in order to be eligible to apply or win the scholarship.
