Due to the global pandemic causing recruitment to be virtual all of last year, this was the first time we could recruit in person out of our brand new chapter house!
This asset worked in our favor, and we secured a class of exemplary balanced men. During formal recruitment, we signed 20 young men; seven of which were BMS finalists. We also signed our BMS grand prize winner, Sam Kurtz, who received $1,000 in scholarship funds. BMS was a great opportunity for these men to be exposed to the ideals and principles of the Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity and the brotherhood we have.
We also had a variety events prior to recruitment to meet the men going through the rush process. We held a casino night where we had multiple tables of poker and black jack, which gave PNMs and brothers a chance to meet and have conversation. We also rented out multiple basketball courts at a local recreation center and held some pickup games. This was a very fun event in which we had a solid turnout.
Brother Miles Moskwa, our VP of Recruitment, headed this years rush. He did a great job of leading the recruitment committee to find the best new members that best exemplify our values. We want to thank him for this effort and dedication to securing the future of our fraternity!
We also have signed two men with 365 bids so far, and we are currently looking at a few other people for a potential 365 bids.
While the new house is very attractive, we wanted men that were more concerned with the brotherhood that goes on in the house. All of the 20 men we signed represented our values of being a balanced man. We are very excited to see what these young men accomplish as they turn into leaders and become the forefront of our chapter!
Welcome our new brothers-
